Welcome to Conceited!

Conceited is a Central Standard Time (-8 GMT) Alliance Raiding & PVP guild on the Blood Furnace PVP Server.

Whether you are a hard-core PvPer or a skilled PvE raider, please feel free to complete an application!

New Recruits

New guild members will be given the rank of Recruit. Recruits will have a roughly 2 week period to prove their value to the guild. During this time, we want to see you interacting with the guild, showing up to raids, in vent with other members, and generally making a good impression, and showing that you belong in Conceited. After that 2 week period, you will either be promoted to Member or removed from the guild.

If you have an alt, they may be permitted to join the guild. Alts in general will only be permitted if your main is sufficiently geared to not be a hindrance to raids/premades that you attend. If your main isn’t well enough geared to contribute to the guild, we wont support you playing an alt instead of gearing your main. This could potentially effect raid invites, loot decisions, and ultimately your spot in the guild itself if it becomes a problem.

PVP

Prime premade Battleground time usually begins between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. server time on raid days and all day on non-raid days.

All guild members are expected to treat BG premades seriously. Listen in vent, and follow the directions of the premade leader.

Don't be afraid to use consumables or 30-min cooldowns in a BG, especially vs another premade. We want horde to see the tag and wish they never q'd! When pugging, contribute as much as you can. AFK Botting in BG's is prohibited. If you are really that bored with AV, go guard Snowfall.

Arena teams should be treated as competitive for all members. The system should not be exploited by any Conceited member. Team buying, rating buying, and win trading are strictly prohibited. If you are having trouble getting points, ask an officer or commander. There are many great PVPers with free team slots that may be willing to join up.

Monday is a raid night, so guild raiders should get all of their Arena games in by Sunday night or early Monday.

Overall, keep your PvP actions sportsmanlike. Direct griefing and disrespect such as /spit macros should be avoided. Remember you represent an entire guild with your actions.

Raiding

Conceited 25-man raids take place Monday through Thursday starting precisely at 6:30 p.m. server time. Raids last three to four hours, depending on the planned encounters. Please understand that your spot in the raid is not guaranteed. The raid leader may swap people in and out depending on gear level, experience, class composition, etc. Raid signups are an important, but not controlling, factor in who receives a raid invite.

Raid Rules

All raiders must follow these simple rules:
  1. Sign up on the website.
  2. Be on time and stay the whole time. Raid invites begin at 6:30 p.m. server time. If you are late, you are not ensured a raid spot. If you know you will be arriving late, please advise the raid leader via the website. If you can't stay the entire raid, please inform the raid leader of your schedule prior to accepting the raid invite.
  3. Be willing/able to spec/respec at the raid's leaders request. All gear must be appropriately gemmed/enchanted.
  4. Repair gear and purchase consumables/reagents prior to start time.
  5. Spec (and respecc) for what the raid needs.
  6. Don’t complain or be discouraged that we wiped. If you can't handle wiping SEVERAL TIMES for EACH new boss we attempt, please don't raid.
  7. Follow the raid leader's instructions. Be serious about raiding while having fun too.
Raid Loot

Loot distribution is decided by Loot Council, comprised of all guild officers online, including those not in the raid. The Council takes all factors into consideration when deciding on loot and strives to be as fair as possible. The raid leader will always explain why items were given to certain people when distributing loot. If you have any questions or concerns, or feel you were treated unfairly, please contact and officer via tell, PM, or Vent, rather than questioning it publicly in the vent raid channel or guild chat. Remember, the best way to improve your chances of getting loot is to 1) raid often; and 2) perform well in raids.

Complaints

General problems, questions or concerns- Please, if you ever have a problem with anything reguarding the guild, approach and officer about it. We do the best we can to make Conceited a fair and fun enviornment to enjoy end game content. We arent perfect though, and sometimes we may not do a great job making our reasoning clear on an issue, or may overlook something that we shouldnt have. We are always happy to explain our reasoning, and/or admit that we are wrong if that is the case though, so feel free to approach an officer if you are unhappy about something. Once again, please do this privately via pm, tell or privately in vent, rather than venting publicly in a raid channel in vent or via guild chat.

Guild Bank

Please do not fill the bank up with worthless items. If you remove an item from the bank, please replace it with something of similar value.

Vent

Feel free to use vent with non-guild members. However, non-guild members should only be in the Conceited vent while doing in-game activities with guild members. Non-guildies should not be “hanging out” in our vent or using it without Conceited members.

Any member who gives out the password to our 25-man raid channel to a non-guild member is subject to an immediate gkick.

Only the Guild Master is allowed to give the vent password to Horde players.

Code of Conduct

Conceited is a group of cool people who like to have fun, so all guild members must follow these rules:
  1. Comply with the World of Warcraft Terms of Use.
  2. Respect your fellow guildmates. Verbally abusing, insulting, or arguing with fellow guildmates in guild chat will result in being kicked from the guild.
  3. Players who do not log in for 7 days without explanation, repeatedly miss scheduled guild events, never post on the forums, or are progressing in PvE or PvP significantly behind the majority of the guild will be kicked from the guild to make room for more active members.
